"The house was much bigger than anticipated. I don't feel like the pictures do that justice, but it was a pleasant surprise as we had two families staying in the house with a total of 9 people. The house was clean. One of the AC units stopped working the first night we were there. We messaged Dave, and while we were out exploring the UP the next day, Dave got someone to come out and fix it. He was prompt and very easy to work with. I would stay here again. "

"Our family had a great time staying at the sunshine shack! Lots of room, never felt like we were on top of each other. The basement game area was great for our teens and adults. Extra fridge in the garage made storing everyone’s food simple. The park across the street was great for the younger kids and a family game of kickball. Just one wish would be for a second bathroom but did not ruin our stay at all. We would definitely stay again! "
"House was beautiful and well stocked. Large yard for kids to play. Accessible garage with ping-pong, foosball, large grill, and extra refrigerator. Plenty of dry (covered) wood for campfires. Spacious porch for outdoor dining complete with picnic table. Sandbox for littles, pool toys in the shed. The dock was easy to get down to and perfect for playing, swimming, and docking jet skis. Hardwood floors throughout made clean up a breeze. The only thing that would have made this space better would have been AC as it was in the 90's during our visit. Would highly recommend - we had a blast!"

"If I could give it a 6 star I would. All 10 of us were delighted with the accommodations. Our Host and Hostess supply almost everything you will need. Food and drink are about all you need to bring. Tastefully decorated home,huge bedrooms,spacious bathrooms, 2 dining areas, not including the fire pit. Ample parking for 10 guest, their trailers etc...Did not to leave but works calls. Ran into our Hosts downtown. Great people,with great communication. Will definitely book this home again. 6 Stars...."

"The place was great! Annie was awesome to work with. It's a beautiful quiet lake. I've been coming to this lake for years. But first time staying here. We loved it. Plenty of room for everyone. There is no Internet, but it was actually kinda nice. Took the kids sometime to get used to that . It was fun watching DVD's and VHS with the kids.Great beach area and dock to enjoy. I'm sure I'm missing stuff. But we loved being here for a week. Definitely looking forward to coming back. Oh if you're particular to your own blankets and pillows, I'd bring your own stuff. And some extra beach towels if you have a larger group with you. Thanks for everything Annie "

"House was great and centrally located to what we were doing. We would definitely stay again. But the listing needs to be updated. They have changed some furniture which changed the number of people it sleeps. It was supposed to sleep 8. There is no longer a bed option in the living room so it sleeps 6. We were originally supposed to have 7 in our group but 2 couldn't make it so it was fine but if they came we wouldn't have been able to sleep everyone."

"It was a great property. Centrally located for good tourism opportunities. The house had pretty much everything we needed, other than a mop. If we come back, I would definitely bring a baby gate to keep my small child safe."

"Location was perfect for the UP attractions we wanted to see. House was very well stocked. Host was quick to respond for questions. The WiFi was not very reliable, it’s satellite so it was because of the weather and uncontrollable. A couple of the beds have uneven ware which made them not so comfortable. The TV in one room did not have sound but no big deal as we weren’t there to watch TV. Overall a very nice place to stay for value, location and courteous host. "
