“We had an amazing stay at Hidden Haven with 4 adults, 1 toddler, and 1 dog! You can’t beat the location: we got to wake up to Lake Superior views, hear the waves crashing overnight, and could walk a few minutes up the road and be on the North Country Trail for trail runs and hiking. Everything was super clean and comfy and we had everything we needed to have a great few days. Looking forward to a repeat visit in the future!”

“I stayed here twice within a week’s time. The first stay was in the old lodge building. The send stay was in the “motel”, I really loved the lodge, if I were ONLY reviewing that, it would get five stars. But the motel dragged the score down. Distinct musty odor throughout, and decor not up to the Lodge standards. To be fair, the prices aren’t the same, but I actually didn’t know enough ahead of time to be sure I got a room I wanted.”

“Great view of the river. Great fit and finish in the cabin. I little surprised by the trailer next site over with their push out room three feet from our bedroom wall, but they were quiet”

“This motel has no office or staff onsite, which at first may confuse guests, but they were very responsive when messaged online (to make sure they knew we were bringing a dog with us). The suite consists of one enormous room, with large, comfortable beds, two sofas (sofa beds), TV screen, a table for two, and a kitchen with full sized fridge, sink, coffee maker, two burners, microwave and toaster oven, well-enough equipped for cooking breakfast. The large bathroom is the only private area. All……

“This is nothing more than some person‘s open yard along a state highway. There’s absolutely no way in this world. I was gonna set my tent up in some random backyard.”

“Great location and view. Minor issues with appliances but nothing to write home about.”

“I guess this could pass as a campsite. If you don’t mind being surrounded by trailers and storage vehicles on the side of a busy rural highway. If you are looking for an up north Mi camping experience you are hereby forwarned this is not the most scenic campsite! Not mad, just disappointed.But everyone’s gotta make a buck I guess. We decided to not stay the night and instead made the 6 hour trek home a day early. ”
