Pool closed despite being advertised as being open from March 1st Andy’s arriving on April 4th, no advance warning of this. With 2 young boys with us this was deciding factor in booking this particular hotel, had we been notified prior to our stay we would have cancelled our booking. Check in was appalling, very slow and staff on reception lacked customer service skills. They said they would pass our feedback on to the manager and someone would be in touch, we have heard nothing. Breakfast was very poor, despite 2 members of staff working hard to restock, there just wasn’t enough food out to cope with the volume of guests but they knew how many people had checked in so this shouldn’t have come as a surprise! The space was too small and the lines for waffles and the toaster took ages. We didn’t bother with breakfast on our second day. There are plenty of other hotels in the area, if we were returning to the area we wouldn’t bother to stay here again.
