I sent a message to the owner asking what the code was to get in the door and without saying a word to me they cancelled the reservation. The home came well equipped with kayaks for the beautiful canal behind the home. The host was quick to respond to my messages and was super friendly. "Really nice and secluded place. Everything was clean and finding the property was easy. Plenty of room for boat and trailer on the property. The “boat launch” is for smaller boats or canoes, not a big deal cause there are several boat ramps close by I had a 18 foot jon boat that navigated the canal fine you might have trouble with boats over 21 foot getting to the dock as the canal is very narrow. Over all very happy with our stay and definitely will be coming back."

The Cottage was just as expected: clean, comfortable, and peaceful, with considerate and thoughtful hosts nearby if needed to support our stay. "Cozy home in excellent location in Old Homosassa. Super clean and well stocked. Especially enjoyed the light show on the front yard oak tree! Spent a lot of time at porch bar watching mullet jumping and heron wading. Went to the Homosassa Wildlife State Park, ate at the Freezer and took a river ride on the Island Girl Cruise… highly recommend all. We had a wonderful time! "We enjoyed our stay at this cute little cottage. It definitely had the feel of a family cottage where you might spend your summer vacation. Nothing fancy but comfortable, cute and homelike. I loved the colors it was decorated in and especially the "wall paper" in the bathroom. We had a great time. The hostess was very communicative and we had zero issues."

"Although the weather was chilly for Florida. The afternoon sun warms the backyard and the dock was perfect for a couples outdoor dining. The fish were not biting but we counted 18 species of birds! Great getaway. The house is small but plenty of room to spread out and relax in the common area and the decor was spot on. Found a single serve coffee pot under the kitchen counter. Plenty of blankets and towels. The curtains were thin so adding blinds would be a good upgrade. Enjoyed our stay."
