"The water park is nice because my kids love to swim. We were there for 3 nights and i beer the kids swam for 12 hours. I wish the arcade was cheaper but it was okay. Had some plumbing issues but overall a good stay. "

"We very much enjoyed this property and would be willing to book there again in the future. The home was very clean, comfortable and well decorated. Little things that would have made a difference: The clock over the doorway in the kitchen needed new batteries, so we could not count on it for telling time. There were only 3 large glasses in the cabinet, so we had to use cups as juice glasses. And because the guests were there for the Senior National Games, it would have been nice to have had grab bars in the shower/tub for extra support to help prevent a fall getting in and out of the tub. Overall this was a great property and very easy to cook in this kitchen. 5 stars!!"
"A very nice hotel in a great location in north western Des Moines. Large room, nicely decorated with a very comfortable bed. All employees were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast, although not elaborate, was very tasty and filling. "
"Stayed here for a night and it was terrific. Breakfast was 8.95 and delish. Oatmeal was super with all the fixings and coffee yummy. Serving staff were a delight!
Thrilled for 1.75/load to do some laundry-been on road two weeks.
Bed comfy. Parking free and easy. Next to Texas Roadhouse. Shower good. WIFI worked (last hotel it did not) So highly recommend"

"The Babes loved EVERYTHING about the Love Shack. Tiffany is an amazing host and very easy to communicate with - so responsive to requests and questions! I think she is quite possibly the best VRBO host I’ve worked with. The property is inviting and just joyful. The neighborhood is lovely and safe! Next door neighbors even offered us candy and goodies! How fun is that?! Close to everything we wanted to see! Definitely would recommend. And Des Moines is a fantastic city!"

"We were two families of five (all adults) gathering for the 4th of July weekend. The house was a perfect match for our needs. Plenty of beds/bedrooms for everyone and a variety of gathering spaces throughout the house. The basement is amazing! Well stocked kitchen and bonus amenities that were not listed, like a gas grill. Host was very responsive and pleasant. The house was clean and comfortable. It was a gem of a find! The neighborhood is generally quiet, except during the 4th of July weekend. Let's just say this neighborhood likes their fireworks."

"We had a fun time staying at this house. We visited downtown Des Moines and had a great time at Adventureland. The only suggestion would be to have some dish towels in the kitchen. The arcade games, ping pong table and skee-ball were popular with the kids. "

"On a recent trip to Des Moines, we were fortunate enough to discover ESA Select Suites in Urbandale, IA. General Manager Stephen and Front Desk Attendants Marci and Drea gave us a welcome as warm as the weather outside (which, given the heat index that weekend, is really saying something!), and they were as friendly, kind, and helpful as they could possibly be. The room itself was clean, comfortable, and quiet, and we particularly appreciated the full-size refrigerator/freezer. We also liked the microwave above the cooktop, which was perfect for reheating leftover pizza and making popcorn. We have stayed in places that cost twice as much and which weren't half as nice! We would without hesitation recommend this hotel, and the next time we are in Des Moines, we certainly will return. Full marks!"

"This is a beautiful, large, spacious, comfortable, clean, fully stocked, and cozy home. The owners were WONDERFUL! i stayed in this house with 11 of my gal pals. With a few of us sharing beds or taking a couch, we had plenty of apace, everything we needed, and a super nice hot tub on top of things! They even went as far as to xome over during our stay to help us with a space to store our hcokey gear for our tournament that weekend. They were awesome! Definitely a place that we'd stay at again. "
