Location was perfect for town centre. Weather was wet for much of the time but we found plenty to do within a reasonable ...

We were traveling by train and foot; the center of Kendal is a very easy walk from the train station. Number of different eateries in town, and it's situated on a river with some cobblestone streets, so very charming generally.

The town has so much history and beautiful old buildings. We visited the Abbot Hall art gallery and Museum of Lakeland life and industry. Abbot Hall is a Georgian house built in the mid 1700s. Lovely town with lots to see and do.
