2 stars for location to the Gardens (which were wonderful) and very kind staff. Unfortunately, everything else was a miss for us. Very uncomfortable bed and pillows. I brought my own pillow, but my husband didn’t and wished he had. Neither of us slept well because the mattress was in such shabby state. The in-room fireplace put out heat, but didn’t flame (other than the pilot light, which stayed on no matter the temperature it was set) which was disappointing. The rooms were probably nice once upon a time, but definitely need some TLC. The carpet (we assume) caused the room to have a musty smell and the trim in the bathroom was wrapped and missing paint from water damage. This could be a really nice place, so I hope they invest in new beds and needed renovations. I’m glad I had Expedia points that paid for (most) of the room. In its current state, this place certainly isn’t good value.
