"We were delighted with Honoka'a and enjoyed an evening at a ranch west of Waimea, day trips to Kona, Hilo, a tropical garden, Hilo Farmer's market, and Captain Cook monument (for two of us hikers). The accommodations were great for 6 adults. Also enjoyed the oranges off the tree in the backyard."

"Everything was very modern and clean. It would be nice if there was a kitchen sink or basin in which to wash our dishes. A simple coffee machine would work better than a Keurig machine as there was only one pod per day and we enjoy a few cups of coffee throughout the day. A few extra utensils would also be handy as we like to cook our meals."

"The condo was as described however, the complex sits in appears rundown. They’re Koi ponds didn’t seem to have any Koi in them. However, the location was good for getting in our car with free parking and traveling around the area of Hilo."

"We enjoyed our stay, especially the location a few minutes from Hilo and directly on the beach park. Loved the geckos, frogs and sounds of rain in the night. The same things we loved will not for be enjoyable for everyone... No air conditioning means you must leave windows open and the sound of frogs at night is loud. During the day, especially on weekends, the beach park can be very busy and the sounds and smells (like charcoal BBQ smoke) may be an annoyance until the park closes. The mornings...

"The unit was old and uncared for; the cheap flooring was peeling up, and the windows wouldn't shut. The windows were dirty; the screens were dirty. The windows were a very old aluminum type and needed replacing. No art on the wall created a very bare and stark feeling. The elevator and area up to the unit were also old and beat up. There was no dishwasher, no cooling or heating, no hairdryer, and many of the lights didn't work; even the light in the refrigerator did not work. The fan was filthy,...

"We enjoyed our time in this well designed lower level apartment. Everything you need is there and handy (cook top only). We loved the view, pool, hot tub, water fall, horses, goats, chickens at the entire environment. IW was relaxing sitting on the porch seeing the ocean in the distance and feeling the ocean breeze. Steve was responsive, helpful and friendly. We definitely recommend this spot."
