"We absolutely loved our stay at Grand Hotel Vesuvio and would highly recommend it, especially if you’re visiting Naples for the first time. The location was one of our favorite things about the hotel. It’s right on the waterfront, close to the harbor and ferry terminals, and perfect for evening walks along the Lungomare. Naples can feel very busy and overwhelming in certain areas, so we really appreciated coming back to this part of the city each day. The area around the hotel felt cleaner, calmer, and safer to us, while still being very convenient for exploring the rest of Naples and taking ferries to the nearby islands. The hotel itself has so much character and history. Grand Hotel Vesuvio dates back to 1882, and you can really feel that sense of old-world elegance throughout the property. There is something special about staying in such a historic hotel overlooking the Bay of Naples and Castel dell’Ovo. Our room and the entire property were exceptionally clean and well maintained. The service was amazing from beginning to end. Every staff member we interacted with was warm, professional, friendly, and genuinely helpful. Breakfast was also top-notch and one of the best parts of our stay. There was a wonderful selection, everything was fresh, and the service each morning was excellent. After traveling through several parts of Italy, Grand Hotel Vesuvio was a wonderful place to end our trip. Between the beautiful waterfront location, history, cleanliness, excellent brea"

The breakfast we had each morning was a highlight especially because of the wonderful servers who felt more like good friends by the time our 4 night stay was over. The staff in general were so kind and helpful. Also - it is super cool that this hotel has a private lift down to the walk by the beach clubs. No waiting in the line for the public lift. I can’t imagine staying anywhere else in Sorrento."
