“It's a stunning location right on the beach, and it's a short walk over the headland or round the bay, to Robin Hood's Bay.
Wonderful staff. Excellent breakfast. Clean room.
Super cafe bar. Relaxing seaside decor
It's a gem. ”
“The hotel was in a great part of Edinburgh making it easy to walk places. We loved how the building fit in with old Edinburgh. The breakfast was delicious. Being able to store our luggage between checkout and when we caught the train gave us an extra half day in town. We definitely recommend to anyone planning a stay in beautiful Edinburgh, Scotland. ”
“Spent the night at the Wilson Arms. Lovely little pub in a very peaceful area. Friendly staff, clean rooms, fast service and lovely food from the restaurant.
Would definately recommend the Wilson Arms. ”
“This property is so fun! Your room is above a really cool, esthetic vintage bar. We had the top room and it was pretty big. You couldn’t hear any of the people downstairs just the delivery people and trash collectors, outside. The views from the windows look out to a big ship/restaurant. It’s also a stones throw from the train station. ”
“There will be free ticket for whitby abbey.
The building is nice and historical. Many facilities for guests to use. I like the drinking water the most.
A bit difficult to find the entrance and the 199 steps to hostel is without light at night. It is a bit dangerous if you back to hostel late at night as you can't see the steps.
The breakfast is very tasty and many different choices to choose.”
“Return visit like the area about 20-25 mins walk downhill to Whitby harbour area. Bus stop by school or Sainsburys minutes away.
Bedrooms clean and big for 2 people. Staff very friendly and helpful. Car parking free and if u forgot anything there is a sainsburys fee mins walk away
Breakfast has various choices to suit different appetite too and family friendly. Would return again”
“Little gem of a place, lovely little suite photos are absolutely honest, really clean and warm with a great shower and a comfy bed. The staff were welcoming and helpful. If you have mobility issues though this isn’t the accommodation for you, stairs up to the flat door then another short but fairly steep set up to the suite door, another short but steep windy staircase to the bedroom from the lounge, I did however find this a nice quirky addition. One thing to bear in mind is that your are over……
“A superb hotel, the views are phenomenal, staff are friendly and approachable. Lots of choice for food, buffet breakfast and an extensive menu for other meals. The room was clean and well stocked. ”
“Enjoyed our stay. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Evening meal and breakfast were really good.
Location great for catching bus to Scarborough. On site car parking.”
“Well what a really pleasant place, surpassed all expectations. We stayed in The Horseshoe Suite and it was perfect for a short stay. Our only problem would have been the bath size - small, but the shower was more than adequate. The bed was very large and very comfortable with exceptionally white bed linen, every where was very clean and tidy. The restaurant was superb, great food, lovely surroundings with good prices and finally each and every member of staff were genuinely nice, polite,……
“Staff fantastic. Small hiccup with payment due to new computer system.
3 floors, lift only goes to 2 floors so if you have mobility issue, let them know when you book.
Car park is very tight- not the best. If you have a larger vehicle don’t expect to safely park up. ”
“The property is well maintained and very clean , we found the room spacious and comfortable.
The breakfast was excellent with a good choice of items to order.
The host James was very professional and happy to advise on the area .
Close to the cliff lift to the spa, and we found the area nice for walking around Scarborough.
The public transport links are close by , you can easily leave the car parked and enjoy a driving free break.
We would fully recommend the waves for a short or longer break”
