"All of the staff were very helpful but especially the barman and restaurant staff. I had an excellent meal in the restaurant, and a great night's sleep. The room was comfortable but I spent precious little time in it to want much more out of the room itself. My single, solitary criticism is a very picky one. There was a hand rail to get into the bath/shower but not one to assist the reverse process. This required a careful balancing act but I descended safely. Thus, a safety rail placed parallel with the rail, which contains the towels might be of benefit to assist those, who like me suffer from arthritis, to exit after bathing or showering. I did not go to the cocktail bar before or after dinner because I was bushed but I will return to Bristol and make sure that I sample its wares."

"The hotel is lovely, very attractive main entrance and lobby. Staff were all very helpful and friendly and overall it was very clean in the room and public areas. The spa facilities were really good, we loves the courtyard with the large hot tub. Only small grumbles about the room were the lack of curtains and no decaf coffee, the bed was super comfy and the bathroom was modern and clean. The bistro food and hot drinks are very overpriced for what they are, a salad with a very small amount of topping were £15 and a small cup of coffee was £5. Overall we had a fantastic stay and would go back."

"Really enjoyed our stay here. Delightful quaint hotel with lovely ancient rooms full of character. Owners were very helpful and let us pick up the room keys early since we were attending a local festival. However, we had to ring them to confirm this since no comms whatsoever through the hotel.Com messaging service despite multiple attempts.. Also Hotel.Com stated that a full English breakfast was included in the rate but only continental breakfast was offered by the hotel. This is unacceptable and needs sorting out soonest by Hotel.Com so guests are not misled. However, overall we enjoyed our night at the thatched cottage inn and would stay again."
