“The room was spotless with a comfortable bed and nice shower. The owner was quite personable and knowledgeable on the history of the residence. Breakfast was delicious! ”

“We stayed at the Shelby Inn overnight Easter Sunday night, after a day of fishing at the lake spillway. The Inn looks to be a mansion in pictures, but it is also what might have been an upgraded 1950s single floor motor lodge, as well as a two story lodging building next door. Our king room was in the 2 story building, on the top floor. On the day of our arrival, we got the assigned room number and an access code for the door. The room was well appointed, spacious with a two-seater table and……

“Nice pool. Clean rooms with comfy beds and plenty of pillows. We were surprised to see tubs in the bathrooms since most hotels these days have just walk in showers. But the bathroom was clean, even though aged. More seating was needed at breakfast. One morning we took ours upstairs to our room and the se ond morning we used tge chairs in the lobby area since all the tables were full. Staff did an excellent job keeping up with the food and coffee however. ”

“Chose this hotel because it had a hot tub. The “hot” tub wasn’t even warm. It was room temperature at best. We waited to get it because there was a couple with a baby in the hot tub. The room was not clean - sticky soda on bathroom vanity counter and a spot of blood on the bathroom floor behind the door. ”

“Very quiet, lots of parking even for tractor trailers. Nice Family run restaurant next door with great food. ”

“This place is good for what you pay for. The room was clean but the furniture and the refrigerator are old. ”

“We found a can of soda in the fridge when we first came in the room, which really shocked us. Due to the fully booked hotel, the service they gave were limited as well. But overall this was a pleasant stay.”

“The eggs were terrible. Our refrigerator in the room made a loud noise all night long and my comforter had a stain. However, the check in girl was awesome and very friendly. The sausage was good. ”

“Convenient location and comfy beds/comforters. Room could have been better cleaned as there was old bar of used soap stuck to the shower floor and some wings of a dead bug. There was an old Keruig coffee pod left in the coffee maker so that wasn’t properly cleaned. There should have been more towels and wash towels for a room for four, only two in room. Lamps needed dusting. Door was alittle hard to open with the key. ”
