"What a phenomenal place to stay. If you’re looking for place nearby look no further. Connie is extremely warm and welcoming and knowledgeable about the area. She also makes the best breakfasts, which is incredible way to start a long day of hiking! The place is on a beautiful property with friendly dogs only 30 mins away from the entrance to Kings Canyon. "We were there for 11 days in early May, the weather was about 10 degrees cooler than Fresno for our entire stay (about an hour away). It's close (1-2 hours if you take the north vs south route) to the Sequoia parks/forest, and there's a big cat sanctuary a few miles up the road. "Room was clean and comfortable. Pool and hot tub didn't look as though they were maintained regularly, so we didn't use them. Many of the rooms are non-smoking, but there is a table with an ashtray just outside where people were smoking close to the non-smoking rooms. Staff was nice and helpful. Irene was kind enough to show us inside the suite as we had asked about it and it was not booked that day. The suite looked very spacious. Overall the Edgewater Inn seemed to be a reasonable value."
