I stayed here for 3 nights at The Soot Rentals. I was given a concierge through WhatsApp to connect with if I had any problems. The WiFi network I was given never showed up as an option. The concierge name is Marcial who never helped me. I reached out to the company over text and email and the one time the responded was to tell me they would send someone to fix it and they never did. After that they stopped responding to me at all. The television was also broken. This was the most unprofessional experience I’ve had ever. I had to go to coffee shops to get any work done since I never got WiFi which I paid for. Demanding a full refund for this ridiculous customer service. This hotel should not let Expedia do their bookings any longer.

Nook Tulum, a condo-hotel in Tulum, Mexico, was advertised as having WiFi in every room. When we arrived we're told that there's no internet in the suite assigned for us, so no TV. The suite details were sent via WhatsApp on our arrival day, not prior as we asked the property representative and got yes as answer. Then we're offered to move to another property which is located so far away from the beach we had to reject it. We agreed to stay at Nook Tulum without Internet and TV, using front desk WiFi if needed. Then we're told the suite owner didn't pay the quota for confo amenities, and this is why no Internet/TV there. We booked Nook Tulum by January 12, 2025, to arrive on February, 28, and this issue wasn't resolved for this period of time? And the property was still out for vacation rent? We just decided not to ruin our vacation and stayed there, closer to the beach. At the end, we came to enjoy many other things than Internet or TV. But, still, how do you rent out the property which carries a debt?? Regarding the cleanness of the suite - the AC filter was dirty, the stale smell inside the suite mainly because of that dirty filter. At least the representative we communicated with had openly explained there are the issue with this property, but you don't need to find out all this upon your arrival. So, the property was, say, average. Having basic kitchenette there was helpful. And thanks to Rodolfo at this condo-hotel front desk who helped us to finally check-in.

Was OK

This place was ok. The road to the place was legit a nightmare. It was a dirt road with so many deep pot holes it takes 5 to 10 minutes to drive. The internet was terrible. There wasn't very many people at the facility. The place had a ton of fruit flies from the person before us. The trash had been filled with hundreds of fruit flies before it was cleaned. I think the cleaning didn't happen for days and the trash baked with flies before we came. And then we arrived at 12pm but the cleaners didn't finish until well after the check in time. We were suppose to have the place by 4pm but it wasn't ready until 5pm so we had to wait for this. I wasn't very happy with this at all. The internet was basically broken the entire time I was there. Absolutely awful and it finally got fixed the last day we were there. The place was nice and I liked the bed but I'm not sure I would stay here again.
