We arrived around 7:30 PM with our two children and found no one at reception—just a sign telling us to come back at 8:15 PM. When we returned, the receptionist told us she could not find our Expedia reservation and that the room we had confirmed and paid for—two queen beds for a family of four—was not available. Her “solution” was to offer us a room with ONE king bed and some blankets. Were our children supposed to sleep on the floor? From the hone baked cookies on arrival to the stunning views of the ocean to the divine beds and smores at night over the fire. All staff members were kind and helpful in every way possible. On one hand, the location is perfect and the room itself was reasonably sized and clean, save for a pretty thoroughly trafficked rug between the beds. The front desk staff was also consistently friendly and upbeat. On the other hand, it’s pretty deceptive to advertise both a pool and a hot tub then keep both off limits in the middle of summer.
