Madeira Island Kid friendly Vacations

Lovely hotel, with great sea view rooms. We had premium All inclusive which was well worth it for the al carte breakfast and additional nights at the restaurants. Swimming pools are great, mostly couples there, a few young children as not a child friendly hotel really. It's 4 euros to play pool for an hour, which is fair. One critisim is the number of flies and bugs. At the buffet/drink stations there are a lot of flies, with cakes/lemons/honey left out. It was a bit off putting, however it was always cleaned if something left out / causing the issue. We did get a lot of bites at night as well, including inside and mostly around ankles and feet - take bug spray. The shuffle service to Funchal isn't worth it, better to get an uber if a couple, can come and go as you please and the same money, choose CR7 as the drop off point. Lots of vegetarian options in the buffet also and proper drinks brands served. Entertainment was okay, mostly live music.

The best place to stay in Funchal if you enjoy gardens. The staff was great and the evening music was amazing. Mazie Kathryn Bianchi

Great location. The food was fantastic and the staff was very helpful.

Good pools with specific areas for children to paddle in as well as play areas. Reccomend requesting a room facing away from the street if you are sensitive to noise from bars.

Unique location inside a botanical garden. Very peaceful and luxurious

The pool and access to the water at this hotel was great. Otherwise, the service and communication with the staff was very poor and often outright rude. Specifically, we raised concerns regarding the plumbing with no help. Shortly after our entire bathroom flooded. Despite paying for an ocean view room we were told our only option was to pack up and move to a sister hotel for the night. No apology or offers to discount the price or adjust our stay.

Beautiful hotel and super convenient location. Very clean and comfortable. Staff was all super nice and helpful. Spa is very nice and Suana and Turkish bath are available free of charge to all guests. Rooftop has really nice views of Funchal.
