"The Hotel is absolutely gorgeous and in an amazing part of Funchal. The rooftop pool And bar are absolutely unbelievable with the best views in town. The staff are incredible and the rooms were cleaned impeccably. Possibly needing a little TLC in some parts of the room. But do not let it put you off absolutely fantastic would definetly return"

"Fantastic hotel, would highly recommend. The staff are incredibly friendly, welcoming and attentive. The hotel itself is very nice, clean and has a great vibe to it. The food was phenomenal and I ended up eating breakfast and lunch most days at the hotel. It's in a great location too and has an awesome little swimming spot in the ocean. I was a solo traveler and felt very safe here. Very worth it to upgrade your room to an ocean view!! Would definitely come back!"

"This hotel beat all our expectations. Localist a little set back from the harbour up a steep hill but the view was amazing. Getting about was really easy. We used the local bus services for getting up and down the hill which was about £1.20 each per trip but taxi or Uber were available. It was possible to walk into town (about 20 minutes) if you are fit enough. The breakfast buffet was amazing, not only for the food available but there was a pianist playing most days creating a very nice ambiance. There was also a Harris Hawk and handler employed to keep the pigeons away. We have travelled all over and breakfast here was 10/10. Our room was extremely comfortable, roomy and well serviced. Pools and hot tub were great (unheated but lovely in September). All staff encountered were lovely and very helpful with advice about tours etc. All things considered a great hotel."
