(1,002 opiniones) This is honestly the first time I’ve ever written a negative review. The hotel itself is beautiful and iconic, and the rooms are very nice. However, the Gatehouse building is far from what I would consider a 5-star experience — the common areas and even the hallways clearly need renovation. Nothing that ruins your stay, but it definitely doesn’t match the Fairmont luxury standard. What truly disappointed me is the lack of security: any tourist can freely access the Living Room and common areas, and unfortunately that’s how my personal belongings were stolen. I asked the hotel for help identifying who took them, and I was told there was nothing they could do and that I should contact the police. I never imagined that in a hotel like Fairmont Banff Springs someone could just walk in and steal from guests. Overall, a beautiful place, but this experience was genuinely sad and very disappointing.
