Scotland Ski Vacations

Booked an early check in for 4 rooms as we had a wedding to attend. Called the day before to check this was still good and this was confirmed. Turned up to check in on the day around 1pm to be advised that only one of the rooms was actually ready. Had to take this up with a manager who after 15 mins finally got the other rooms ready. Bit of a shambles to be honest. Rooms were clean enough but quite small. Very very warm, had to use the fan to cool us down

Breakfast was great.

Hotel is nice and in a great location. What isn't great is when you leave an expensive waterbottle in your room on checkout and it gets taken. I called 20mins after i checked out and was told the room hadn't been cleaned yet so they will let housekeeping know and itll be brought down. Numerous calls to reception and he said he had told the housekeeper but had never heard from them since. When i came back on my way past a few hours later he said they haven't heard from the housekeeper and he will get back to me. 5 days later and still no bottle. Might sound small but its a £50 bottle and if they can't return that then what happens if you leave something more valuable. Will not stay again with this poor service.

Lovely room with spacious comfortable beds, our family booked two rooms that had King sized beds with a single bed made up alongside (one had a bathroom and one a showerroom) We stayed one night and enjoyed a swim after check in and the soft play and playroom in the morning after we checked out (as you are able to use these facilities until 1pm once you check out) We would have made use of the free cinema as well (evening and morning) if we hadn't seen the same film earlier that week) I would happily come back on another trip and really liked the Elemis toiletries in the bathrooms throughout the complex, a touch of luxury!

We stayed in the gatehouse with our daughter. While the house was clean it had certainly seen better days. Soft plaster on the kitchen ceiling from a leak. Old kitchen cupboards, door etc. Quite loud along the road. The property is quite stunning with a very mature forest. The staff were excellent especially the young Australian women in the dining room. Great location.

This hotel had everything we needed for our visit. It was clean, large and had wonderful ammenities. It is right next to Edinburgh University and so convenient to everything you could ask for on your visit. It's just a few minute walk to shopping, food restaurants, museums, castles - and High Street (where all the tourists go to shop). Continental breakfast was great; fresh coffee or tea every morning and a good array of breakfast items to chose from. The rooms were big and had everything we required; kitchenette, large closets, sofa, comfy beds, full sized shower. Staff was friendly and helpful. It was wonderful.
