2 star French Quarter hotels in New Orleans, Louisiana

The Lamothe House is not your typical hotel. It is the kind of place for couples looking to get away from the kids and enjoy an experience unlike a typical hotel stay. We don't stay in the room mud when we travel and this was perfect. Great location just outside elf the French Quarter and near Frenchman street where a ton of night life is. Not a tourist trap kind of place. It's more like having your own little condo for a few days.

Inn on St Ann is more of a Bed without the Breakfast than a hotel, but it is really a wonderful place to stay. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the room is updated and comfortable, and the location is right in the middle of the French Quarter within easy walking distance of everything there without being in the hustle and bustle of it. The building was built in the 1830's so it has a nice rustic feel to it. I highly recommend it.

Let's face it - New Orleans is a special kind of place. Old world ambience, yet new world views and music. And if you are going there, you want to find a special kind of place to stay. Well, at the Inn on Ursulines, you've found that special kind of place. We were there for two days in early April and found new friends, good food and some pretty radical jazz very close by.The Inn on Ursulines is quiet, yet within walking distance of all the excitement. There is a special small hidden courtyard with tables and chairs to enjoy a pre-dinner drink or chat with new found friends. The rooms are pretty large (we stayed in two different ones) with marble tiles in the bathroom. Ceiling fans make sure you are cool. Bathroom amenities are upscale....and all for what I considered to be a pretty reasonable price. I would recommend this place. The front desk staff are helpful, there is parking available (for an additional price) and well worth it.

We spent a long weekend in New Orleans, staying at the Inn on St. Peter. Room was very clean, bed was super comfy and staff was exceptional. The hotel is far enough off Bourbon Street to get away from the noise but close enough to walk to all the action.

We feel the guest house needs renovating but we were very comfortable there. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We particularly liked the manager Philip as he told us where we could do for different events and for meals.

The Chateau was perfect for our vacation. We went down for Mardi Gras and wanted to be close enough to Bourban Street but didn't want a lot of noise at night. It is in walking distance of Bourban and we actually didn't use our car once while we were there. Parking is in a secure lot with a gate. The room was clean, a little small and we didn't have a window but it was good enough for the price and very cute. The only complaint I have is that you can hear fairly easily through the walls so noisy people coming in at night could be heard but it wasn't bad enough to make me not want to go back. The staff is VERY helpful and friendly.
