"Beautiful hotel, great location."
Nicely located hotel very close to charming Quebec city restaurant and shops. The old city is relatively small and quite walkable, so it was a bonus to stay so close. Our room was immaculate, and newly renovated with beautiful bathroom fixtures (Kohler). It was also quiet and large. Excellent hotel for families with a pool to enjoy after walking around all day. All parking is valet parking... a necessity in old Quebec city.

"Great choice for sightseeing in Quebec."
We very much enjoyed our stay at the Clarendon. The staff were very friendly and helpful. the room was spotless and comfortable even though it was a bit small. The decor is charming old world with lots of wood. A car has to be parked by the staff in an off-site location but was quickly retrieved at no extra charge. The breakfast was excellent. The hotel is just a block from the F rontenac and is very convenient for sightseeing and for restaurants. We would definitely stay here again.

"Cannot say enough great things about our stay!"
I knew nothing about Hotel 71 prior to our stay - after a few minutes of internet searches, I liked the location, price, complementary wifi and breakfast and booked a room for our stay in Quebec City. Due to some airline delays, we ended up missing our first (pre-paid) night at the hotel (we were later reimbursed due to circumstances outside of our control). We called ahead to inform them of our delays and when we arrived (overtired and in transit for 24 hours) we couldn't believe our warm greeting. During our entire stay, the staff treated us like family and had helpful information about the area whenever we had an inquiry. Hotel 71 was all the ideals of a boutique hotel: small, intimate, unique, luxurious. The breakfast was convenient and relaxed, our room was comfortable and perfectly located. I feel like we found a hidden gem, despite the fact that the hotel is in the center of a tourist area. I highly recommend and our later stay in Montreal (at another boutique hotel) paled in comparison. Hotel 71 was a true highlight of our vacation! Thank you!!!

"In the center of all the fun."
We loved our stay in Quebec City at the Chateau Laurier. The staff was so friendly and helpful and gave us great tips on where to ear and places to visit throughout our stay. Our room was clean and bright and was very comfortable for the three of us. The hotel is well situated and tourists sites are easily walkable from its front door. I hadn't been to Quebec City since I was in high school and was very impressed. Great restaurants, friendly and helpful staff wherever we went and streets that look like they were taken out of a fairy tale. It is great to see and feel the pride of the Quebecois. We will definitely return next year for the Quebec music festival!

"Very good hotel in excellent location"
I wasn't sure what to expect as this hotel was about mid pricepoint for what I could find in Quebec City. Very glad I chose this place. The location is excellent. In the upper old city within walking distance of just about everything you want to see there as well as dozens of restaurants, pubs, etc. The building is historic, a few hundred years old, which in Europe usually means a tiny room with a closet for a bathroom. Not the case here. Rooms are spacious and comfprtable with all amenities, including a refridgerator for storing the Canadian beer, pate, cheese and sausage we picked up at the market in town. It is also a green business, so had interesting roof gardens to look at from our balcony. Parking is not onsite but for a very reasonable nighly rate they give you a key to access the city hall parking lot a few blocks away. A great hotel at a great price and lots of ambience to boot.

"Great Boutique hotel in a great location"
My partner and I stayed here as the first part of a Canadian vacation where we planned on staying 3 nights in Quebec City and then 3 nights in Montreal. We arrived on Saturday and the check-in process was a breeze. Within 3 minutes of walking in the door, we already had our room key. The room decor has a very masculine vibe to it, which we really loved. Very modern, clean, and spacious. My one and only complaint would be that the room has virtually no storage space; we basically lived directly out of our suitcases. With the exception of the closet to hand things, anything folded, or any underwear, socks, etc., would all just have to stay unpacked. Two or three drawers would really complete the room and make it perfect. The bathroom is very well done with a large glass enclosed shower. Bed is also very comfortable and has a nice easy chair in the corner by the wall of windows. The highlight of the hotel is the wonderful staff. Breakfast is pretty good, but definitely basic with the same choices each morning of yogurt, granola, Croissant, some cheeses, cereal, etc. Room Service is actually supplied by a restaurant across the street from the hotel. Due to an issue with my partner throwing his back out on the first day, we had room service twice, and both times it was excellent.

"Great hotel, great location"
Friendly front staff, free cappuccinos all day long, free breakfast including boiled eggs and some warm sweet breads. But the best part is the fantastic location. Easy walking access to any part of the old city. Would definitely stay here again.
