Beautiful Hotel

Only one complant, ask a head of time if you need pillows or any for the room. We asked for ’real’ pillows instead of feather pillows. We were all a sleep with the do not disturb sign at 11 pm and finally the pillows showed up, almost three hours late.

The best food ever

A grand old hotel!! Bring your own pillows ... theirs were hopeless ... mattress beyond turning ... old and a bit uncomfortable. Since we are light eaters, we stayed on the secured floor with food service lounge serving breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner, and liqueur and dessert. The service and food was out of this world and easily made up for the bedding.

Top of the line

The bed was extremely comfortable with the greatest pillows and comforter. The room service was delightful with the wait staff polite and the food amazing. The maids were never seen but always present in the cleanliness of the room. Front desk excellent. Bar staff friendly and attentive. Never had to wait for my car - always had cold water waiting inside. What more can I say? Five star all the way!

Fabulous

Expedia priced this hotel well under what it would normally cost. We loved everything about the hotel good food, lovely room with a view fo the garden. Only two things were a problem: they charge 10 dollars a day for internet service -- and the 25 dollar parking fee (which, of course does not cover the tip you need to give every time you need to use your car.)

Beautiful Hotel

The hotel and grounds were amazing! Room was just ok. For the price, small amenities like in-room coffee maker, frig, separate tub & shower should have been there. Bed was just ok. A little lumpy. Robes were scratchy. Seems like nitpicking but when you pay top $$$ you expect more. Staff was extremely helpful and nice!!

Beautiful Oasis in Pasadena - SO NICE!!!

We really enjoyed the Langham Huntington Hotel and Spa. We both enjoy "out of the way" places where we can escape the noise and hustle of the outside world. This hotel makes you feel "rich and famous" without breaking the bank. I also loved the history of the hotel and the surrounding area. We will definitely stay here again for another get away. Obviously a fave!

Just minutes away is Pasadena’s main shopping area. We dined at a very hip Italian restaurant called Mi Piace, recommended by the hotel staff. It was so good. Also, we had breakfast at a little restaurant called Russell’s on Fair Oaks Ave. So good!

I plan to return next year. It was great.

This was the nicest place I have stayed. The service and employees were exceptional. The meals were cooked just right & tasted perfect. We really enjoyed the movie by the pool while we ate dinner on the terrace. 5 star definetely.

We wanted to go to the Wax Museum & Rigley’s Believe It or Not & found both out of business. Be sure to check places you want to go

The best service anywhere.

Truly the Langham exceeded any expectation we had. Very comfortable rooms, service was over the top from the valet to our room maids. I will stay there again anytime we visit Los Angeles. It lives up to it’s reputation.

The dinner menu at both dining areas are designed around adults. However breakfast is for all ages. Pool is very large and fit for both big and little kids.

Great service,but small room

Great service from the start and the surrounding grounds were fun to walk around. Great food and it’s located in a nice neighborhood. My only complaint is slight in that the room was quite small. Still I would definitely go again.

Old French chique mixed with LA hip

The Langham Huntington in Pasadena is a great hotel. We’ve spend a week in the hotel. The pool is magnificent, the decor superb. The staff super friendly albeit a bit serious. As a hotel guest you can use the fitness centre for free or take yoga, tai chi or pilatus classes. We had yoga lessons from Jose and can recommend them. Food or drinks taken in the hotel restaurant and bar are very expensive but good. There are many nice restaurants in the area, but you need a car to get there.

Fine Hotel. Great Service. Beautiful grounds. Used to be the Ritz Carlton. I’m very picky. Highly recommend.

avoid staying in Lanai building

It’s a old time glory resort, has all the 5 stars hotel amenities, but Lanai building not well kept , pet smell ,dirty carpet, midnight dog barking and early morning wolfing were quite disturbing.

Excellent Retreat

LA seems a hundred miles away (but it is not) when you are relaxing at this beautiful hotel. I will stay here for all my LA visits.

Luxurious accomodations

This is a luxury resort with a high standard of service and beautiful grounds. The food is excellent and prices are not inflated.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Ask to use the free van service since getting around is about $10-12 in one direction by taxi to downtown or the Huntington library, etc.

Fantastic getaway from LA bustle

My wife and I loved our three-day Memorial Day weekend spent at the Langham. The service was always courteous, the food was delicious, and the spa was incredible.

Beautiful

Excellent hotel but my sink had water standing in it easily. The toilet and shower/tub were fine though. We had a poolside room so it got a little noisy in the daytime when children were swimming but otherwise the room and balcony were awesome. Fantastic premises/grounds/neighbourhood.

Beautiful Hotel

We stayed only for one night, but we would definately stay there again. The accomodations were perfect. Our lanai room had a balcony that opened up to the circular garden. The view was beautiful. The rooms definately exceeded our expectations. Would definately recommend.

Our Favorite R&R Retreat!

I can’t imagine not loving staying here. This is a "provide a little extra" hotel. As an example, on this trip, we caught the Friday night movie at the pool- lounge chairs and a movie under the stars would have been great, but then the staff brought around fruit skewers and smoothee samples- just because. So that would be for anyone young at heart. But this hotel also has a super fitness center and spa. I would not have believed how relaxing a dry sauna, steam room and whirlpool can be. Although the club floor is usually out of our price range, a couple times a year it makes for a wonderful treat. The staff up there is wonderful and the rooms have the extra touch.

Beautiful and relaxing

We recntly enjoyed our anniversary weekend at the Langham. The service was great and the resort was beautiful. We stayed in the Club level and took advantage of all the food and beverages that were included. We had dinner plans in downtown Pasadena but never even made it! We were having too much fun at the Langham.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

The hotel probably doesn’t appreciate this, but we parked on the street outside and saved the expensive valet charge (around $25 per day)...Be careful because there are sections that are permit only.

Serene, modern and luxurious

Everything about the hotel was awesome, including but not limited to (due to my short stay): * The garden * The drinks at the bar * The room * The service * Decor, finish, everything about the building * The terrace (poolside restaurant) In short I think it was perfect, IF ONLY they offered self-parking, but that’s just because I’m a self-parker. I’m sure a lot of people loved the valet. Oh and San Marino, CA/Pasadena, CA was so awesome that I was wondering why I chose snowy,salty and sandy new england to live in.... highly recommended

Bad First Night

Our first night at Langham was rough. Our third floor room was over the bar and next to the elevators. The blues band thumped until midnight. The bells and whirring of the elevators were a constant annoyance. The hotel staff was kind enough to change our room for the second night, or I wouldn’t have much good to say about the experience. If you are arriving late in the evening, be aware that the Langham’s restaurants close at 9:00 pm. You may want to stop at one of Pasadena’s fine restaurants on the way. Room service is good but pricey.
