There are a lot of good things about this hotel, but I would ask for a different room next time. I like that the windows open, but the A/C did not seem to be very strong. The mattress was comfortable, but I really don't like their choice of an extremely heavy bedspread. Nothing drastic, but I did notice a couple stains (carpet, bedspread, etc) and the seat of the office chair was peeling pretty bad. When I first arrived, I was incorrectly directed to overflow parking even though I was paying $12 a night to park in front of the hotel. The breakfast is pretty good. The shower was really good too. The ambiance outside the hotel is good too with the neighboring parks and walkable streets!

We spent two nights in a smoking king room. The lobby was packed on arrival and they only had one host working the counter. He was incredibly polite and took care of everyone with the same care and politeness despite the rush.
The room was small. And old. But it was clean. Clean floors, clean bed, and clean bathroom. Yes, there were dents in the walls from patches, gapped paint strokes, and even little holes near the floor from shotty dry wall work. But those things were irrelevant to our stay.
This is a cheap, old motel...in the heart of Memphis. You're 100yds from the Peabody and Main St. You're 200yds from Beale St. If you're spending enough time in your room to find complaints, then you're doing it wrong.

We stayed for a couple of days at the start of our US roadtrip. We had a nice view of the river and the room was comfortable. The staff were good and the location was good. The breakfast was average but I found that in most US hotels. We enjoyed Memphis. You need about 4 days and be mindful of the days some of the key attractions are closed.

We just stayed one night but we've stayed here before. Staff are friendly. Beds were comfortable but overall the place is pretty run-down. They could definitely use new carpet, drapes, artwork. I liked having the refrigerator in the room.

It was good for the price. My friend and I were attempting to economize during our trip to Memphis and visiting Beale Street. There were some scary characters lurking around the hotel but there appeared to be a security guard in a red truck keeping an eye out at least he had a badge around his neck not sure if he was related to the hotel or not.

Everything was good, however I was going down a hall and a leaky air conditioner caused me to slip. I hit my head and knee, I cracked my phone. I should have reported it but did not. Do not be like me report anything like that They had a wet floor sign out but it was about 25 feet from where water started.
