“This is such a cute little place to visit. I am sure it is even prettier when the grass and trees are green in the spring and summer. So, I have pros and cons in my stay (as most places will have) Pros: ascetically very pleasing. despite the winter brown trees and grass, the yard in between the cottages planned well. There was a cute little pond with a tiny bridge and hammocks hanging from the giant trees in the middle. There was a hanging swing next to my cabin. My patio was very nice to sit……

“Room was super nice and very clean. The decor was quite pleasing. The communication was perfect. We drove in late to the property and the ease of locating our cabin was perfect. After loving the cabin from the beginning the comfort and quietness only added to the experience. The morning brought chirping birds and a cool breeze on the above cabin deck, accessible by a nice little spiral staircase. Excellent place to enjoy a cup of coffee. Location is perfect ; just minutes away from downtown……

“We stayed at Rose Hill Retreat based on policies stated on Hotel.com and Rose Hill Retreat websites. We understand there are new owners but if they are not going to honor these policies then the websites should be changed before they advertise. This was supposed to be a romantic getaway for my husband and me. 1. A full chef prepared 3 course breakfast would be served every morning. “We had an amazing stay at The Martinsburg! We spent two days here and it was the perfect Hill Country getaway. The cabin is beautiful, modern, and extremely well kept. You can tell a lot of thought went into the design and details to make the stay comfortable and relaxing. The location is fantastic — peaceful and surrounded by the rolling hills, yet still very close to Fredericksburg and several great wineries.
