“Property was close to the Plaza so the location was very convenient. The staff was very friendly and went above and beyond. The room that was originally assigned to us had a problem with the lock and we needed to be reassigned to a different room. Rather than make us trek back to the front desk to get a different key, housekeeping opened the new room for us and the front desk brought a new set of keys to the room. So nice and responsive. ”

“The La Fonda is a beautiful old hotel. Paying for parking in the rear was so worth it. We came and left frequently, going to historical sites and Taos Pueblo. We were able to sample some local cuisine in the hotel restaurant and the owner was very informative, telling us about the history of his people and the foods they prepare(d). “I only stayed for a day but it was a stay to remember. The check in time was later than I’m used to but you have your own parking spot reserved with your room, you walk though a beautiful garden to get to the room, we reserved the storyteller suite, so our view faces the setting sun which was gorgeous. “Overall the place was amazing. We were at max capacity with 8 people and there was still plenty of room. We never felt cramped at all. The kitchen was fully stocked, and patio had a bbq grill that worked very well. The place was clean, the linens smelled fresh, washer and dryer, and even a steam room. The two main rooms had window AC units that helped a lot as we were staying in the middle of summer. Would definitely stay again. ”

“Vernon is amazing! In a world where customer service isn't valued anymore, this place is a gem! I don't think the photos really do justice - the place was a lot bigger than I expected and they have EVERYTHING - coffee, cups, plates, microwave, soap. It was a wonderful stay. Definitely coming back. I don't remember telling them that it was my sons birthday, but sure enough a "Happy Birthday Cameron" cake was waiting and a bottle of wine on ice for me!! Made my day!!”

While not in Taos, we were close to so many things, so the location turned out to be perfect, esp. for hiking and paddle boarding.
