"Absolutely loved it!!!"
Booked 2 rooms for 1 night at this beautiful hotel in the heart of Madrid- we had a scheduled flight the next day but wished we could extend our stay further. The hotel is close to museums, touristy and shopping areas. The hotel staff are exceptional, they provided top notch personalised service from the moment we stepped in. We were offered drinks while we waited to check in then arrived the rooms to find a nice welcome letter and lollies. The rooms were a little bit small but very clean and well designed. A few minutes later, we were sent fruit plates and juice. A bit later we were sent water and chocolate. We decided to walk to Reina Sofia museum and asked the staff for help - they were very helpful and provided a map and directions around the city and pointed out other areas of interest. They were also trailing a portable wifi device and we were given one to take with us - which meant we were connected to the internet throughout our stay.

"Wonderful stay in Madrid!"
Wonderful hotel! Great shower and the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in! The breakfast buffet was good and included a variety of fruits, meats, and baked breads; in addition, you could order off a menu for freshly prepared eggs. In a quiet but fancy neighborhood, we were definitely underdressed when walking around! The hotel is about a 30 minute walk from many of the sites of Madrid, but there is a metro stop close by and taxis available. Complimentary water and great air conditioning! The staff was friendly and made every effort to accommodate our needs, they even kept medicine in their fridge after we had checked out, since we had a late train out of Madrid. Would definitely stay again!

"Excellent service and friendly staff"
The location of the Hotel is quite convenient , bit off the Gran via but walking distance and away from the crowds. The best feature is the friendly staff. We had the return flight late night and we checked out in the morning. The allowed us to keep the baggage with them till evening and suggested that we can use the Spa facilities and can even take a shower before going to the airport. This was something which I haven noted anywhere in the world and quite a welcome service which all hotels should follow. The breakfast was quite delicious and they went a extra mile for getting a cake for my birthday. Would definitely come back again.

"Hotel Urban in Madrid"
The Urban Hotel was a slightly mixed experience. The staff were helpful and friendly at all times. The rooms were not very large overall and we upgraded to a Junior Suite which was the size of a normal room in other hotels. The Air Conditioning in the room was good. There is no pay tv or movie system which the staff acknowledged was a drawback. The staff offered a DVD player and some DVDs instead. The rooftop bar and pool area was not big enough to accommodate residents and people coming in from outside. This became a particular problem in the evenings. Not enough sun loungers around the pool with people having to use mats etc. There isn't enough places to eat within the hotel - and the glass bar was the only place to go apart from the rooftop terrace. For some reason the film Bladerunner is played continuously in the glass bar which was a little odd. It's a contemporary hotel which had its own character however it wouldn't be to everybody's taste. Breakfast was good however at a cost of €26 per person. The hotel is marketed on Expedia as being for people of 18years old and over however this is not the case. There were quite a few young children staying there during our stay. This is quite important if you want a child free stay which we had hoped for and chose the hotel on that basis.
