Who puts a Victorian style kiosk at an interstate freeway rest stop? Well, apparently, the good people of Albany, Oregon. As the sign says, this cute little structure serves to commemorate the more than seven hundred historical homes and buildings in downtown Albany.

I love this little thing, but get a load of the trailer hitch under the front window. I'll have to start looking for those in some of the older districts in the area. I did not realize that they were an architectural feature.

“This little oasis was exactly what I was needing for a work trip into Albany. The check in process was very simple, the set up was so cute - including a little feeding station for my pup who came with me, well stocked and well situated in the area.
