This hotel was special because of the friendliness and warmth of the staff. The front desk people were welcoming and helpful from the start. The woman who served us breakfast and housekeeping staff were all very pleasant. Everyone seemed pleased to see us. We were in Albany for a sad family occasion and the gracious hospitality of Four Points by Sheraton was much appreciated.

First off, every one of the staff was quite lovely. The facility and rooms are clean and comfortable, especially the extra floofy pillows. My only constructive criticism is the dining. The website has virtually no information about the dining options aside from that there is one, although the hours do not specify between kitchen and bar. The website and the lovely young Gentleman at the Front Desk who checked us in both indicated that the restaurant/bar was open until 10 although did not indicate that the kitchen closed around 8:30. We arrived in the bar area to be please with the menu that was not available on the website but were disappointed to find that the kitchen was closed. We would have planned better if we had known that in advance or at check-in. The next morning we tried again for breakfast to find an extremely limited menu, items that were not available and then ended up leaving before we had breakfast as 2 bagels and a bowl of oatmeal to WAY longer than our schedule could accommodate. I do want to emphasize that despite the challenges around dining the folks that staff the property are extremely friendly and we would stay there again, but with better planning on our part for food options.

This hotel is easy to get to. We found a diner in Albany for breakfast and went on an explore west of the hotel with tree fossils. Clean, friendly staff.
