"We had a wonderful time at Gran Hotel Salerno. The room was spacious and clean, the staff was very polite and helpful, and the breakfast was delicious and plentiful. There were many gluten free and lactose free options at breakfast. Best of all was the balcony with a view of the sea! We will definitely return!"

"The staff are wonderful people, always eager to help and never come short of making sure you are looked after. The breakfast was superb, and the room are cleaned in a blink of an eye, spotless. They need screen for the balcony doors as house flies were all over the place, it's a plague I must say all over the place but manageable though. Screen doors will go a long way in"

A Hidden Gem in the Mountains - Truly Unforgettable!
We had an unforgettable stay at this beautiful historic hotel, perched atop a mountain in a quaint little village. The setting is absolutely magical-right next to a Roman aqueduct dating back to 100-200AD, and beside a stunning old Catholic church.
What truly made our stay exceptional was the staff. From the warm and welcoming waitstaff -Gabrielle,

The front desk staff are absolutely stellar. We felt incredibly welcomed and loved our stay.
The view from our terrace was breathtaking and the breakfast options were plentiful.
There are 4 parking stalls onsite, or an area for parking directly across the street, adjacent to the mountains. The parking is outlined in blue (paid) but the hotel can give a voucher so parking is not an extra charge.

Check in was a breeze and the staff was welcoming and professional. The rooms were spacious and clean. Did not appreciate being charged for the pool cap though. The food was plentiful and delicious.

Hubby and I spent 4 nights in this great hotel for our 30th anniversary. We arrived early on check in day and the room was not ready. They gave suggestions on having a bite to eat and held our luggage for us. Upon our return, we were ecstatic to find out they upgraded our room! Such a great surprise! I'm sorry I didn't get the names of the ladies that assisted us at check in, but they were fantastic and the upgrade was so appreciated. Margarita was extremely helpful and so very sweet at...

it was a pleasure, he only problem is that from there you see the seaside in front, but there is no easy way to get to it, because in front of the hotel it is a military installation

We were positively surprised by the facility location and amenities; this hotel had it all - accommodating staff, good room, great breakfast, outstanding view on the water front and very close to down town. We shall return to stay there, any time.

Used this hotel twice now for family reunion. Great hotel and location, they have modernized it quite a bit. Gives the feel of being on the Amalfi Coast. Didn't care much for the restaurant meals, lots of nice places in town for food.

This was my first trip to Europe and staying here did not disappoint. The room was beautiful. The staff was very pleasant and helped me with everything. The food at the hotel rivals, and at times, much better than the restaurants in the area. Don't let that stop you from eating elsewhere tho. Especially if you desire the views. You'll find many along the coast. Only negatives were.... TV and the roads. ( no sidewalks in town ) Don't rent a car and expect to navigate through traffic here. Either...

What an adorable hotel with an amazing and attentive staff. My room was HUGE and very clean... I even had an incredible balcony where I was able to sit and enjoy a drink.
The fact that they have valet parking and a relationship with a local beach club made for a worry free holiday.
I hope to make it back to the Amalfi coast again in the future and would 100% come back here!

It was a wonderful stay. Although the bedding was a bit thin and the bed pretty hard and uncomfortable it was a lovely room and hotel. Also should be aware that if you choose a room with a view / window you’ll hear people on the street all night. Terrible breakfast if I’m being honest. A lot of options but just very bad quality.

We had a long day of travel from Venice to Salerno and this was the perfect hotel! It was walkable from the train station, the room was big and we did have a balcony. The continental breakfast was great - with some good croissants. There are also many different cafes and shops nearby. We were able to walk less than a mile to take a ferry to Positano. I would highly recommend if you are using transportation and want something convenient.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best area to stay in Albori?
The best area to stay in Albori is within the village center itself, particularly along the main road, Via Capite.
Staying in the village center provides immediate access to Albori's unique character. The main road, Via Capite, winds through the village and is where you'll find the local church, small shops, and a few restaurants. The architecture consists of colorful houses built into the hillside, offering views of the Tyrrhenian Sea. The village is compact and easily explored on foot.
For couples seeking a quiet and romantic escape, Albori is an excellent choice. Its secluded location, away from the more bustling coastal towns, allows for peaceful strolls and opportunities to enjoy local cuisine in an intimate setting.
When is the best time to go to Albori?
The best time to visit Albori for pleasant weather and fewer crowds is during the shoulder seasons, specifically from late April to early June or from September to early October.
During these periods, the weather is comfortably warm, ideal for exploring the village's narrow streets and enjoying the scenic views without the intense heat of mid-summer. You'll find the local businesses fully operational, but the influx of tourists is noticeably lower than during the peak summer months of July and August. This allows for a more relaxed experience, whether you're enjoying a meal at a local trattoria or simply taking in the coastal vistas.
Couples often appreciate the romantic and serene conditions offered by these shoulder months. The less crowded pathways and more readily available seating at restaurants create a more intimate setting for a getaway. It's also a great time for leisurely walks through the lemon groves or along the coastal paths.
Travelers looking for a blend of good weather and good value will also find these times advantageous.
