"This was my third stay and as always very well operated property with considerate, and efficient staff. Room was clean/tidy and nothing off putting. Situated near some great shopping and heart of downtown with lots of places to eat at, including on property if you don’t feel like leaving. There is even a group place right around the corner for an after meal treat!"

8/10 Good
"So the good: we requeated an allergy friendly room because my daughter has severe asthma. The room had an air on an working when we arroved. The vents for the central air had been recently cleaned and there was no sign of dust on any surfaces. It is a beautiful hostoric building in the heart of downtown Portland. The pool is indoors, heated and doesn't overwhelmingly smell like chlorine and the gym is 24 hours. The downside: The Hilton has this thing about their complimentary waffle station. They typically have your stereotypical original Belgium waffles and then these delicious alternative flavors that Paris approves the recipes of. It's something we always look forward to staying at one of their hotels or affiliates. This location did not have it. The waffle station was closed all 3 days of our stay and no staff we asked knew why. There weren't any spare linens in the room for the pull out couch(also, no sheets on the pull out either)and when we called the front desk to have some brought up they only brought up 3 pillows. The omelets station used the same 3 pans for all of the eggs and omelets without even wiping them down between orders and cross contamination ran rampant so if you have food allergies I highly recommend eating off site at one of the dozens of allergy friendly restaurants in walking distance. Weirdly there was also trash under the beds in the bedroom and the bedroom trashcan hadn't been emptied when we checked in. Overall it was a great vacation."
