"This was our second trip to the St. Augustine area and our first stay with the Castillo Real. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and our stay was pleasant. The hotel is undergoing some renovations, so there was construction noise between 9a-5p each day (we knew this before arriving). Our room had a few quirks - the sink area was lit with a floor lamp instead of a traditional vanity, the floor had a transition that wasn't level, and there was only one towel hook in the bathroom, with none...

"Beautiful hotel, clean rooms and property. I opted for the ocean view with terrace and it was perfect… so quiet with a beautiful view and a short walk down a lovely landscapes path to the beach… Not too far from historic district, too which was nice. "
