Romantic Secluded Cabin 30+ acres on The Middle Branch of Escanaba River.

10/10 Excellent
"This is a great place for outdoorsy people who like being secluded but still close to town. Our host made herself available if needed, but we had no problems at all.The hot tub was great, we did not use the sauna in August, but it was available.Great coffee maker to get the day started, great views, very peaceful. We would love to go back again.S&N"

Little Lake Cottage in Gwinn: Sun, Swims & S'mores – Your Summer Starts Here

Little Lake Cottage in Gwinn: Sun, Swims & S'mores – Your Summer Starts Here

8/10 Good
"I would simply classify this place as ‘It is what it is.’ That is not saying it is bad. It is simply an older lake house. We were two emptynester couples having a trip to experience the UP. This is one of those properties the owners want a 5-star review and I want to give it, but cannot because I think it would be slightly misleading. I feel it needs some modernization to get that 5 star feel. When we walked in we all made comments of feeling like visiting grandma’s. Everything is simply dated: from the furniture, table cover, record player (which was fun to listen to), etc. But again, that is not a bad thing. It is just a preference. But it is just what the site listed it as and it lived up to the pictures. It was located near Marquette and Munising and that is what we wanted. The Knuckle Sandwich in Gwinn was fabulous for food. We stayed out of the house for the day and regrouped there at night. And it is what we needed. Book with confidence but expect a quaint feel."

Endless Summer and Cool Winter on Big Shag Lake in Gwinn, Michigan with Sauna

Endless Summer and Cool Winter on Big Shag Lake in Gwinn, Michigan with Sauna

10/10 Excellent
"Overall a great family retreat. We enjoyed the water craft paddles, caught pike and bass off the end of the dock. Husband thoroughly enjoyed the sauna. Heads up, the internet connection was great when it worked. Sporadic outages occurred, perhaps a hardware fix is needed. Definitely will be adding this to Yummy Places app and sharing with friends."

Cedar Retreat located in God's Country, on East Bass Lake. Sleeps 10!

10/10 Excellent
"Very nice home (clean) well equipped and good location. Host communication was excellent. Lake has abundant eagles (didn’t see a moose ) and good fishing, however not the best for swimming (Weedy/Shallow). Quite area for the most part. Many extras included i.e. s’mores kit, soaps/shampoo etc.., all appliances were newer."
