While it was a beautiful atmosphere the property was a bit disappointing. The air conditioning was out in our original room.staff quickly and kindly changed it, but there were minor issues in the other room. Light switches not working etc. There is only one elevator. Stairwells were a bit unkempt but overall it was a nice stay. Davinci pizza wasa highlight.

No parking. Gave me a room I did not book. And then said I had to request the room when I checked in. Wanted to go back and forth with me about the room I booked versus what I received. The elevator and hallways are super hot. It was very unpleasant.

So Much Potential but misses the mark. Boutique hotel built as an apartment home in the 1920s is reminiscent of old Hollywood. The most charming little courtyard has plenty of comfortable seating however all the cushions were put away on the warm April weekend that we stayed there and the beautiful fountain in the center of the courtyard was not in working order, rather was covered with an old trash can lid. The modern wall behind reception desk was oddly out of place in this charming vintage hotel. We asked for an upgrade and were given the Deluxe Studio (pictured in Gallery). Full kitchen including dishwasher, microwave and new, full size appliances but not equipped, meaning no utensils, no cookware, no flatware, no drinkware thus, kitchen was really unusable. No dish soap or kitchen towels were provided. There was an old (I mean really old) hair dryer attached to the wall of bathroom...when I tried to use it sparks and actual fire flew out of it so there's that. Bedroom curtains were tattered; there was no full length mirror; the walls are paper thin and the neighbors' conversation was clearly heard as was the cat's meowing across the hall. The website states rooms and suites come with Aveda bath and vanity products but that was not the case. Our room came with 1 small bar of soap (to be used in the shower, bathroom sink and kitchen sink) and a tube of generic conditioning shampoo. The queen size bed was comfortable. Hotel needs a makeover.
