Nasty, loud motelPosted Nov 21, 2015
First room we were given had roaches crawling on the bed and the walls. Dead roaches in the bathroom. The staff was very nice and gave us another room and it was cleaner. The tv had maybe two stations you could watch, we couldn't get any sleep from all the noisy people. People doing drugs in the parking lot. Dogs fighting throughout the night. This was the worst experience

Nice hotel for the pricePosted Nov 15, 2015
Nice, clean, good bed. The bathroom could use some improving as the shower floor was loose and bumpy.

Noisy place lacking in amenitiesPosted Nov 13, 2015
Pros: Friendly staff, fairly close to UT campus but required an Uber ride.
Cons: Improve the almost-broken stuff. Increase sound proofing if possible.
Location: It's next door to a Denny's (which was fine for breakfast).
Didn't have a decent desk to work at or tissues. Was from the looks of it an older place that had been somewhat fixed up. It worked but barely...the toilet almost backed up each time I used it, the shower temperature was hard to control, the TV remote didn't work unless I was 2 feet from the TV. Environment: Noisy, right by the interstate, with people playing loud music in the early morning, tires squealing in the parking lot late at night, people shouting a lot. No peace and quiet.

Clean RoomPosted Nov 4, 2015
Pros: Clean Room
Cons: More Security
Location: Next to I 35
Clean room but suspicious activity going on outside during night hours. The police, ambulance, fire department showed up to aid a women who overdosed next door. Not a lot of a sleep.

Not goodPosted Oct 31, 2015
Not a high quality motel Need to knock it down and start over Staff was polite, not their fault the place is in disrepair, and the clientele is not of high morale standards. Not suggested for anyone, unless u absolutely do not care.

Roach Motel on the HighwayPosted Oct 29, 2015
Location: Not much to say. It's convenient to a gas station, and the Denny's next store isn't bad.
When I got there after a long flight, they couldn't process my payment that had been made three weeks prior. After an hour getting checked in; they stuck me in a room on the backside of the hotel. It was 1:00 AM and room doors were open, people were milling around, there was loud music and tv's... And my air conditioner didn't work. an hour later I was in a different room on the front side of the hotel, facing the highway. It was noisy, but at least my neighbors were slightly quieter. Checkout was also a disaster, took close to an hour and I was late for my flight. The price is right, but take my work for it: pay the extra nickel to stay somewhere where you don't have to kill roaches in your bathroom... Yeah, I killed five in three days.

Decent enough to stay againPosted Oct 19, 2015
Smelled clean, bed was comfortable, but did see a few cockroaches in the bathroom. Other than that, I would stay again. Denny's and convenience store within walking distance and just a few mins away from downtown.

1 star because I didn't diePosted Oct 11, 2015
I give this place 1 star just for the fact that I wasn't murdered there. The motel always had 3 cop cars outside which is never a good sign. Walking to our room we saw two large crates with live chickens in them. Why? We have no idea. Upon entering our room, we noticed an infestation of crickets inside the room- at least 20. The bathtub had its paint chipped badly, and thus not operable. The sheets were riddled with unidentifiable stains and cigarette burn. My girlfriend and I decided to lay out my blanket and pillow and sleep on top of that instead of under the sheets. We didn't even bother staying the final night in our hotel, instead, I drive back to Dallas at 2am to avoid another night in that terrible room. Avoid this place.
