“We had a lovely three day stay at the Plantation House Hotel. Our suite was spacious very clean. Bar. Lots of choices of beer wine and spirits and nibbles before dinner. Dining. The menu was absolutely first class cooked and presented to a very high standard, absolutely loved the lamb. Breakfast. Again lots of choice with yoghurt, porridge, cereals and then of course there is different options for your cooked breakfast. Every member staff were absolutely fantastic and so helpful, an asset……

“Room was very comfortable, staff are friendly, foods is excellent. But, it needs improvement in car park facilities, an additional staff for parking may be better at peak season.”

“Stayed here as an entry point to the South West Coastal path so whilst the town itself only has a pub and a post office, it was perfect for a 1 night stay before starting a long walk. There's also a local bus which goes a few times a day. Big room, very clean and comfortable, great breakfast included. Lovely stay.”

We loved the ambience and the food There was nothing we disliked except the proximity of the village church which insisted on striking every quarter hour day and night. It was an unusually warm night in October so we had the window open so I would advise using earplugs if the window is open.”
