“We had a great stay in this historic inn. It was in the perfect location to walk to shops and restaurants and the harbor. The staff were a delight and thoroughly enjoyed the Hugo Spritz specialty cocktail they offered one evening out on the patio.”

“Nestled in the heart of downtown Salem, the Courier is the perfect place to stay. It’s a charming boutique hotel with lovely rooms and amenities within walking distance of so much of the historic area of Salem has to offer. Its fully stocked kitchen is perfect if you want to dine in, the bed was so comfortable, and the sheets so soft. My only critique would be the check-in process which was a bit complicated taking longer than expected. The delay prevented us from checking in at 4 PM and lead……

“Everything was lovely. Great owners. Be aware that Salem does not allow for inns to cook full breakfasts for guests. If you are allergic to or sensitive to cats, be aware that the owners have several cats.”

“A lovely hotel would stay again. So charming a very well decorated. The walls are from the 18th century’s so you can hear traffic. We had no issue with it at all. There was a French press in the room which was lovely. The issue was no actual coffee to put in it The pulllout bed was sloped. Probably better to put it on the floor. I would recommend otherwise”
