“We loved our stay at The Rockport House. It was within walking distance to town, though there is no staff on the premises, with one call or text, we had every question answered. Loved our room, loved the places to sit in the shade. We will definitely be back! One suggestion, have a water refilling station in the main house.”

“Our family was extremely disappointed with our stay. We picked this hotel specifically, due to the listing indicating that the hotel had a pool. This was extremely important for our stay considering my son is autistic and requires sensory relief. The listing is false advertisement. Tim, who worked at the front desk did not handle the situation properly, not only did he offer no compensation and/or token of apology, but laughed in our faces when we were visibly upset about the circumstances.……

“The room was exactly like the picture. Overall it was a very good experience. There’s no interactions with staff because everything is done online from checking in, paying for parking, upgrades if you decide to add and right down to checking out. No waiting in line. Many cute shops and restaurants are nearby.”

“I felt this room was a health hazard. The carpet was wet and musty from humidity which left the tile wet when walked on. (Slipped but didn't fall.) The bathroom smelled like methane gas or sulfur our entire stay. The rubber seal on the bottom of the shower door is missing so water leaked onto the floor unless we figured a way to stuff a face cloth in the opening. The maintenance person was hosing down our entryway (?) as we returned to our room, leaving us with wet feet as we entered. This hotel……

“The room was spacious. The bed was very comfortable. The building was clean and pretty. Only thing was the people upstairs walk so heavy that it woke us but other then that it was a perfect stay!”

“Nice stay in beautiful Marblehead. Pros: Great location to sites and beach. As a solo traveler, I felt safe. Bright, clean rooms and comfortable bed. Beautiful grounds. Convenient, free off street parking Cons: I must have read old info. No breakfast or bikes on hand. The brief time I met staff was helpful but then no staff btwn 6pm and 10:30am. The AC unit was extremely loud. I did not get a good night's rest because it was too humid without AC and too loud with it on even at the lowest……

“Charming, updated rooms with all the basics. Luxury bedding, full kitchenette and a beautiful shower. Walkable to everywhere in Salem.”

“Beautiful castle building, free coffee at the reception, staff are very friendly and helpful. They even offered me a ride to the train station when the next train was coming within half an hour. Overall it’s a very pleasant stay. ”

“Nice property, but lacks the charm of a welcoming b&b. Pool was quite small and staff were not that welcoming upon arrival.”

“Love this place! Have stayed here several times over the years. The room was nice with a good view of good harbor beach. Staff was very nice and accommodating, my only complaint was that upon arrival my room was already sandy including the comforter on the bed and a dead fly or two in the bathroom.”
