I wanted a comfortable place to relax and get some work done while attending a Harvard conference and seeing some long-lost friends. This place fulfilled those objectives well. It's new so everything is in good repair, but also the restaurant isn't open yet. The gym was relatively spacious and well-equipped. The lobby shop sells local beer, chocolate, and other snacks, if you're willing to shell out. The things that frustrated me were the hotel not honoring its stated plans to a) serve continental breakfast for $9pp each morning (this was only actually available 2 of the 4 mornings of my stay) and b) provide housekeeping only upon request (I experienced one wasteful round of unwanted cleaning and one awkward round of declining services when housekeeping staff came to my door as I was rushing into the shower before work). This hotel will work best for folks planning to take the bus or rideshare (or walk) for transportation, as hotel parking fee is high, street parking very limited in the area, and Porter Square T a long trek up the avenue.
