This was an adequate place to stay without any frills. Our Delta flight was cancelled so wanted something that wasn’t too expensive (but that’s relative) and wasn’t at the airport. Comfortable beds. Front desk staff very nice and professional. There is a restaurant but we didn’t eat there. The location is a little out there….not downtown. Construction across the street but we had a room on the back and didn’t hear anything. Close to a hospital so lots of medical staff walking around. Nice, big Whole foods across parking lot. Target close-by but it is tiny. Just snacks and some health/body care. No clothes, housewares, extended foods. A couple of blocks walk to Subway station. We caught the subway to the commuter line and went to Salem for the day. Easy trip. Starbucks and a donut shop close-by. Fyi, if planning to go to museums, several closed on Tuesdays. Not sure if all, but we checked three.

So dirty! Upon entering the facility the carpet was filthy! Carpet in entryway so dirty it looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed in days. The room was very perfumed as you entered. The bathroom needed updated and cleaned. The bathtub had black mold/mildew in the grout two tiles high. The bottom of the bathtub was stained with dirt. As you showered the bathtub didn’t drain so your feet were covered in water. The door in the bathroom was coming apart at the bottom. The carpet in the sleeping area was very stained. The bed was so bad I’m not going to try and explain. There were very small holes all over the black out curtains to where the sun shined through them in the morning….not quite sure what caused that to happen, but I have an idea. We had already paid for two nights, but left after one night due to the uncleanliness and the awful bed. Trust me, don’t try to save money by staying here! BTW, I have never in my 60 years written a hotel review, that’s how bad it was

The #1 reason I selected this hotel was for the pool accommodations. It was 88-90 degrees outside and the pool water was 90 degrees. It was so not refreshing and we were very much looking forward to some pool time. Very disappointed. There was also mold on the walls in the bathroom and rust on the fixtures.

Only 2 elevators worked out of the 4 you could barely get to where you needed to. Also they charged me 3 times for the room. I paid through Expedia then once I got there they charged me again and when I checked out they charged me a 3rd time when I called figure out why it happened they didn’t care they hung up. I called a 2nd time they apologized and said they were going to refund me and nothing happened my bank stepped in on their own saying it was fraud and will be fighting on my behalf.

The Wyndham at beacon hill is one of the worst hotels I’ve ever been to. The beds were very firm and lumpy. They used the worst bed linens I’ve ever seen. The 200 thread count poly blend pillow cases felt like sandpaper against my skin. I had to take them off because the pillowcase protector underneath was much softer. The air conditioner system is outdated and made a terrible clicking sound every fifteen minutes which prevented me from sleeping all night. The wallpaper was peeling, the windows were filthy, and you couldn’t close the curtains all the way. The toilet was also outdated, it was very small and really low to the ground. I seriously regret coming to this hotel and should’ve booked the Omni Parkerhouse instead. I estimate this hotel makes at least $200,000 on a bad day, there really is no excuse for how little they invested in the comfort of the guests that are staying here.

This was just a quick overnight stay. The hotel was clean, conveniently located near a T station and they held my bag for free the next day after checkout while I was out. Staff was very nice.

The hotel needs a remodel, they are building something right in front of hotel so maybe Wyndham can move there! It's convenient location, walking distance. What the hotel lacks in appearance & decor, the staff makes up for it. The front desk, valet service staff, and housekeeping were very pleasant, helpful and work so hard! Thank you guys!
