Lockville Canal Park is a 7 acre green space that contains three intact locks that once made up part of the central section of the Ohio and Erie Canal, a 308-mile highway of water that connected Lake Erie at Cleveland to the Ohio River at Portsmouth.

Construction on the locks began on July 4th, 1825 and took over seven years to complete. The canal system propelled Ohio's economy from last in the nation to nearly first in just a few years.

"Owner was friendly, responsive, and accommodating. Unit was clean and just as described. My favorite thing was definitely the view. I left the shades up so I could enjoy the lights and view of the city. Location was perfect being downtown. I would stay again if I'm ever needing a place in Columbus. "

"We were disappointed to find the unit was on the second floor (we had a 90 year old) and a very rickety steal stairway that was difficult to climb. Also there were homeless people hanging out in the community and that was quite concerning. The unit itself was fine although much older than pictures show. It was clean and the specifications were accurate. "

"Sorry to give the landlord a heart attack by being late on check out. But the place is great. If you can figure out the bus you can go anywhere downtown and surrounding areas. Small but location is what makes it worth it, you’re there to see the city not the apartment."
