“This site is brand new, and feels like it! A fresh & promising entry into the options for accommodations in the tight market of southeast Virginia. Also, so many choices for food and shopping nearby. Furniture and bed were all very comfortable. And it was VERY affordable, even during this vacation season.”

“After a very late night flight was cancelled - I called the Hotel to see if they accepted dogs, they said yes, so I pre-paid for the room . After a 20 min uber ride in the pouring rain the hotel turned me away at 1am because I had a dog. The man at the desk was incredibly rude -and the lobby smelled like marijuana. The photos of the listing DO NOT represent this hotel. It is more like a homeless shelter. I would AVOID at ALL costs.”

“Had the best stay at Decoy's!!!! Cottage #1 exceeded our expectations - THE VIEW!!! the adorable decor, the most comfortable bedding... I could not recommend this place more. The area is super safe and kid-friendly. The cottages do not have front desk staff available in person, but everyone we spoke to over the phone was incredibly helpful and accommodating. We made the most beautiful memories here in the cottages with our family - 5 stars all around. Thank you, Decoy's!”

“The hotel needs an update. The carpet, elevators and parking. The restaurant employees were very courteous and professional. However, the check in desk clerk could use a class on common courtesy, not very accommodating. Oh yeah, the water pressure in the vanity sink was very low. It was like at a rest stop.”

“It took a while for the ac to cool down the room since it was totally turned off when I arrived”

“Hotel was nice and clean and very close to Busch Gardens (3) minutes, they had a shuttle but we were unaware. Remote control was missing a battery so no television the first night we were too tired to go to the lobby after we settled in for the night. Other than that, the room was clean and we had a good stay.”

“The bathroom door was a sliding door. The door was broken so my son was stuck in the bathroom at 3:30am.”
