great place to stay during a visit to the local area
Very nice little bed and breakfast in the peaceful village of Verduno, near La Morra, Barolo etc. Nice little house with a garden and a pool. It's in good shape with very friendly service, one woman was checking us in and taking care of us during breakfast. We were there with only one another room ...
The staff is unparalleled in their desire to make everything just right. They’re welcoming, kind, and warm. The rooms are fantastically restrained in decor and immaculately clean.
Wonderful hotel, thrilling drive up to the Castillo!
Very nice, modern hotel, but the surrounding spa is under construction. The room was very hot and we couldn’t get the thermostat to work. They left us a nice bottle of wine in the room. I would stay here again especially after the new spa is finished.
Thinking about visiting Castello di Pollenzo?
It's located 300 miles from Rome, in an area called Alba.
Some travelers will be relieved to discover that the general area offers a couple of inexpensive accommodations. A few places that should be on your list include the Red Wine - Guest House and the Cascina Rocca - Guest House.
If you want to indulge in a bit of pampering, enjoy excellent service and just relax, take a peek at some of the upscale hotels a short drive away. Both the Hotel SantaMaria and the Somaschi Hotel - Monastero di Cherasco will offer you a vacation to remember.
Be sure to taste the full-bodied coffee and delectable snacks at Caffè La Rosa, a popular spot not far from Castello di Pollenzo. If you've really developed an appetite, Carpe Noctem Et Diem is also in the vicinity and will stop your belly from rumbling. And finally, order a few rounds of beer and talk to some of your fellow travelers while you kick up your feet at La Soffitta.
