Took away hot tub do not have it no more just a pool no good

The location was great. Right off the highway and close to restaurants, gas stations, grocery stores, and of course VT. The outside of the property was clean and looked safe. There was construction going on so we could see the materials for it outside but it was quiet. The front desk staff were so nice and polite. The lobby smelled like cigarette smoke, which was a a turnoff. My room key did not work after 3 tries so they just moved me to a new room. I had other family members checking in the next day and they all had the same issue with their room keys and had to switch rooms. When entering the room it looked ok. Luckily I travel with cleaning supplies so I brought in my own items to wipe off the countertops and sweep the floors as you could clearly see they were not cleaned well at all. The floors were extremely dirty. Our socks and feet were all black on the bottom from walking around the room. The towels were dirty and had other people's hair on them. I had to ask the front desk multiple times for new towels especially because we were only given 3 total for a 3 night stay, no hand towels or wash cloths. For the price I paid I knew that I was not getting a 5-star hotel but it still could have been better. Again, the front desk staff were amazing.

Air conditioning excellent, parking lot did not feel secure, several used boats for sale, men smoking at door, men gathered outside at back building, noises during night, did not feel safe.

IF YOU ARE A SINGLE WOMAN TRAVELING ALONE DO NOT STAY HERE. I want to preface this by saying I hate leaving bad reviews, I never want to judge someone on possibly just one off day. The hotel itself was fine. It was clean. It wasn’t super modern, but you get what you pay for. The interaction I had with staff, however, was bad. I got to the hotel around 12:30 AM. I’ve been driving all day and I was exhausted. The door to the lobby was locked for safety reasons and so I rang the doorbell only to realize the staff member was asleep on the couch. I spent a full 10 minutes, ringing the buzzer, knocking the door, calling the hotel hoping he would wake up. I almost considered calling EMS because I was worried that he was having a medical emergency. When he finally woke up, he said my room number out loud while there was a strange man standing behind me. This is never standard and so I requested a new room and said why I felt unsafe. He looked at me confused and said there were no other rooms available. I just took the room because I had no other choice, but I felt unsafe all night. I checked and this is against quality inn policy to say the room number out loud. I don’t want to judge him. I’m sure he was just tired, but if you’re single and traveling alone, I wouldn’t stop here.
