Montecito Sequoia Lodge

Montecito Sequoia Lodge

8/10 Good
"Some minor issues in the room; weird ceiling fan going on by itself unexpectedly, carpet with some odd small stains, blinds up high on a window unable to be reached to be closed, lighting fairly dim even with all lights on. Food was decent, nothing fabulous. Even for a rustic setting indoor lighting was fairly dim in main lodge eating area. Knew this going in (albeit kind of after the fact); road to get into property was not great and would have been a tad scary had we or any guests arrived after dark. Overall; excellent location between the two parks and nice piece of property, but probably could use an infusion of cash again to revitalize it. Not many choices to be in a similar location but price was too high given all that was previously stated. Doubtful that my wife and I would stay here again, but that's not to say it was a negative experience"

Creekside Cabin ~ 26 miles to Kings Canyon!

10/10 Excellent
"We loved our stay at this cabin near Kings Canyon! Communication with Meredith was excellent, and the check-in process was smooth and easy. The area is very remote and peaceful, with a beautiful little creek nearby. We spent much of our time at the cabin relaxing out on the deck and enjoying the surroundings. We truly appreciated the extra thought that Meredith and Jake put into making our stay comfortable. The bag of ice, bug spray, repellent candles, drinking water, and other thoughtful extras were such a nice touch! The cabin was spacious and comfortably accommodated all five of us. We enjoyed BBQing on the deck and spending time around the two fire pits. The AC was definitely a plus! Since I tend to run hot, I especially appreciated it on the warmer days, along with the bedroom side table fans. The cabin is about an hour's drive from Kings Canyon National Park. One tip: download your driving directions ahead of time, as Wi-Fi and cell service can be limited in the area. Also, we discovered that the storage room had extra drinking water, toilet paper, paper towels, and a microwave, which was very convenient.I would definitely recommend this cabin for couples, young adults, or small adult families looking for a peaceful getaway. We would absolutely love to come back and stay here again!"

"What a wonderful property! We had such a great experience with our family staying at Kings Canyon Base Camp! The home and all the amenities were fantastic. The town of Wilsonia was such a delight - the location was perfect for hiking, exploring Kings Canyon and Sequoia, and for picking up any last minute needs at the local market. Plus the star gazing was beautiful! Additionally, the house was furnished with all the upgrades needed! It was plush, comfy, and decorated beautifully!! We were comfortable during our entire time at the property and would recommend this home and Benjamin (host/owner) to anyone! We would definitely come back and stay again!!"
