I'm so grateful for a place to stay, however, the parking lot was small and so tight I thought I was going to hit a lot of parked cars. The key was given to me in a used paper sleeve. There were holes burned into the blanket. There was mouse poop on the bathroom floor. The soap dispensers were broken, however they did provide little bottles of shampoo and conditioner, although no soap. Something ran over my foot in the middle of the night. I'm assuming it was the mouse using the bathroom, but I try not to think about it. I am grateful for a bed and a roof, and I know we're all doing the best we can but this is my honest review of The Carlton Inn Midway. Would I stay there again? Probably not.

Although staff interactions were friendly, the room was filthy. The carpet was gross, the shower basin was stained and seemed to retain old water, and there was hair visibly scattered throughout the room. The hallways were dark, dank, and did not feel safe. The Inn clearly served as an extended stay as well because there was evidence of a dog living on the property (based on the dish and a full bag of dog food outside of one unit). Thank God we only had to endure the conditions for one night. I would never revisit or recommend this establishment.

I have a video I recorded of the actual room I stayed in where there was not a proper locking door. I had to keep all my stuff in my car to be safer and dead lock at night when I slept. There was no active smoke detector. The water ran not clear and didn’t drain in the shower. The tv didn’t work at all. It was loud outside due to other guest but I can imagine that was since it was the 4th.

The place smelled strongly of cigarettes. It looked liked the room was not cleaned properly after the previous guests left because there was hair on the pillow sheets and in the bath tub and there was no toilet paper.

I checked out a day early and was not given a refund for the day. I asked for a paper receipt to get reimbursed by my company and he printed one showing I did not pay anything for the room. There was no TV and no internet. I was on a business trip for and I really needed internet. Overall, very disappointed in the stay and will not pay in advance for a room in the future. Not a great experience and will not pay in advance in the future. Lesson learned. Not satisfied that my review has to be edited 3 times before it could be submitted. No reason to review if you do not allow me to say what was true.

There was people outside of our door all night yelling and doing drubs on the props. The staff wasn’t very nice to us at all. We had to switch rooms because the tv didn’t work and there were holes in the bathroom wall and tub was filled with rusty water. Would gladly provide pictures.

not a standard room as we booked , was a handicap room, shower head held up with a strap as bracket broken, ice machine not operating anytime recently. toilet roll broken and roll on floor. occupants of room 2 doors down barbequeing 2 feet away from our car with flames 12 inches plus high. No coffeepot in room although coffee pods. asked for pot got a broken one the first time around. During our 3 day stay no towels or linens changed out. NOT COOL!!!
