Although the room was small, everything else made up for it. After all, you’re only in the room for a limited time. Bed was comfortable and we enjoyed the high tech. It was easy to check-in and out. I recommend that there be a sign on the 1st floor indicating that you need to catch the elevator and go up to the 4th floor. Breakfast and lunch was excellent and so convenient. We enjoyed the bar and being out in the patio. Overall, great stay and would stay there again.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with this hotel. I just did not realize the size of the rooms were so small. They are probably the same length as most rooms, but the width is probably half the size. Not a problem for a single person, but was too small for my tastes to share with my wife. The common areas were nice and had a very modern feel.

This property is located centrally in downtown Chicago. Walking distance. The only negative thing I would say is parking is on your own and there’s no valet at the hotel.

1st visit to Chicago and chose CITIZENM for its locale- walkable to Riverwalk, Millenium Park and Art Institute. Checking in was not convenient- you need to do this on their computer system. Fortunately someone was there to assist- but honestly, after traveling and just wanting to get to my hotel room, I would have preferred someone doing this for me, as in a "standard" hotel. Please know the rooms are very small, almost like "pods"- think of Bruce Willis' apartment in THE FIFTH ELEMENT, not your standard hotel room. The bathroom is situated within the room without much privacy, if you're with a partner. The room functions are controlled with an iPad, plus switches on the wall. I did find controlling lights and the day/night curtains frustrating. Several times I pushed a switch and the whole room went dark. I found the bed comfortable and glad I paid extra for a city view. You can refill your water bottle in the bar area. My friend was given a nice glass bottle of water with a lid to take to her room. When I asked for a bottle the next day, I was given a heavy brown glass bottle with no lid. This could definitely be improved. Hmmmm? There is an outdoor patio with seating, great to have access to, just to sit and chill. While there isn't a restaurant, breakfast buffet can be had for $20 (I did not do preferring to go elsewhere- highly recommend Miss RIcky's around the corner)- and they also provide a bar menu 24/7. My friend really liked her crab cakes.

The streaming service for the TV was the only downside, it would lag and then drop connection. It was good we were out most of the time so it wasn’t that important.
