We checked into the hotel the evening on July 15, the same night a storm rolled in. It knocked out electricity at the hotel for about a full day a few more hours I think. I believe generators kicked in right away because we never went completely dark. Not having full electricity and having to use the stairs was tough, but it was tougher on the workers as they tried to clean rooms, answer a higher volume of questions at the front desk and make the stay of their guests as pleasant as possible while they faced these surprising circumstances. They REALLY tried hard to keep everyone happy during that time though! Well, my opinion is that they were AMAZING!! They went above and beyond to keep a smile on guest's faces. They ordered sub sandwiches that we could freely take for lunch that day we didn't have full power to the rooms and they even had a free spread (mac & cheese, fried chicken, fruit and salad) for dinner time! Made us forgot for a bit that we had limited electricity. LOL! Ricky at the front desk (I hope that's the right name) was EXCELLENT! We really commend his customer service skills and appreciate him for going the extra mile with a few complimentary snacks to keep our 2 girls happy during that challenging time! We were able to "weather" the after effects of the storm and we stayed with them for 4 nights! The room was clean, the workers were friendly, the breakfast was great and the location is very close to the O'Hare. A Blessings to the team!

The breakfast was great! They had waffles, potatoes, yogurts, eggs, about anything you could want. Hallways were a bit dingy but wallpaper replacements were underway.

This was a great option to stay near the airport. The rooms were renovated and clean. The buffet breakfast included more options than many hotels give. The shuttle was very convenient.

Pros: free breakfast which was somewhat decent, free onsite parking with no problems Cons: Staff were very rude and racist I was treated much differently then those of different race (I’m African born in U.S) I wasn’t greeted with the same attentiveness and care as the other guest checking in with me by the same desk staff. We were watched and constantly being followed by staff members. Never received room service called more than a few times, also beds & room weren’t changed or the cleaned at all. When asked for towels I was given attitude when asked for clean towels or anything else for that matter. Definitely do not recommend this hotel nor would I be staying here again. I’ve stayed at plenty of Hampton Hotels, this specific one needs alot of work especially with retraining their staff and workers.

I was worried because of the proximity to the airport it would be loud from the outside. Turns out that was super quiet but the AC rattled so loudly all night long, it was awful. Room was clean but the bathroom wasn’t anything to wow you.
