Bed Bug city

Posted Aug 21, 2015
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Burn it to the ground and rebuild
Location: Good local deserves a better facility
Room was run down smelled of stale cigarettes toilet was not cleaned dirty sheets and found bed bugs in the mattress box spring. How can you recommend to anyone! We were there to see our son graduate the Naval Boot camp and were almost out of luck after leaving there because all other properties were sold out. Thank goodness we were able find a suite at the fourth property we tried.

Do not stay her!

This hotel is so sad. It's dirty and old. The rooms are gross with stained towels and shabby interiors. The outside is old and none of the vending machines work. The staff could care less. Just pay more and stay anywhere else.

Cheap and spacious

I stayed during my son's NAVY graduation. For the rate it was excellent. Room was very big. Two stories, kitchenette, one king bed and two double beds. It was clean and very close to the RTC.

Excellent location close to where I needed to be

Posted Aug 5, 2015
Pros: I did enjoy my hotel room. It was quiet, and perfect for walking to fast food places and convenience stores.
Cons: The ice machine.
Location: As I stated, walking to fast food places and convenience stores was great. I do a lot of walking and this trip did not take me away from that.
My first trip to Chicago to see my son graduate from Navy Boot Camp, and wasn't sure what to expect from the pictures of the hotel online. I had assistance from one of the hotel employees, Dakota, about transportation from O'Hare to the hotel. I so appreciated his help. I had help from some very pleasant people, in a far away place on my own.

Would not recommend this hotel to anyone!!!!!

Posted Aug 4, 2015
Pros: That we met new friends that stayed in the crappy room next to us and another that helped us during the tornado event. Thank you new friends!!!!
Cons: Emergency plan, hotel staff, cleanliness inside and outside of hotel. Pretty much the entire facility could be 100% better.
Location: There are lots of things to do. Gurnee Mills mall is huge, Six Flags, short drive to Jelly Belly Factory, lots of beach access. Too much fun to list.
Upon arrival-not the hotel expected. So sketchy our car driver offered to take us somewhere else and stayed with us while we checked for another hotel. We were unable to find another since we were there for a Navy graduation and everything was booked. Driver even went inside with us as we checked in. Check in clerk rude and very unhelpful. Room - We had to go to the mini mart next door to buy cleaning supplies and clean. Bathroom hadnt been cleaned in quite some time, soap scum and hair everywhere. Towels(also didnt look clean) for one person even though two were scheduled. Stayed there 5 days and never got clean towels, everytime we asked the clerk he said they were in laundry. Has a pool we we didnt use. Hot tub was full of scum and everything in water green, didnt use that either. Last night we were there = "AWFUL". We are from Washington state so not familiar with tornado's. Alarm's were sounding so called front desk(again same clerk) he was very unhelpful!!!!!! Told us to come to lobby, but not sure why as he said he was not "authorized" to unlock the basement for tornado's!!!! No emergency plan at all. I would NEVER recommend this hotel. I have stayed in cheaper hotels like this before this is the WORST EVER!!!!!!! Only good thing about our stay here was that we meet some wonderful new friends that roomed next to us. During the tornado event we meet more new friends that helped us tremendously!!!!

Pay the extra money...sketchy!!

Posted Jul 23, 2015
I am usually not a complainer but, our room had ants, the water did not drain out of the tub, the ceramic tiles on in the bathroom were not even attached, the ice machine was broke. When I spoke to the staff they did nothing to resolve it or did not apologize...
