“We were in an annex, not in the main hotel. The room was clean, but the space was very small with the 'bedroom' on a mezzanine floor. The roof sloped so much it was difficult not to crack your head on the ceiling. The bed was a small double. The towels were old and must have been washed using conditioner as they did not dry you after a shower. There was a beer festival on the weekend we stayed and the volume of the music outside was exceptionally loud and even inside the annex with the door and……
“A very cute place to stay in a lovely market town.
Parking nearby (free on Sundays and overnight).
Access to the rooms, due to the nature of the historic building, is not the easiest (uneven floors, narrow corridors and stairs). The room was absolutely lovely though; the bed was comfortable with quality bedlinen and pillows.
The breakfast buffet was welcome - a small table and chair would have been welcome.
A bedside light would have been welcome too.
With it being such an old building,……
“There is no restraunt at this pub even though there is a nice picture of the dining area. Had the attic room and kept awake all night by birds in the loft.”
