“Clean room and polite staff. The spa was sup”

“Lovely room, great food and service brilliant!”

“The most fabulous service from the hotel staff I have ever had with the wonderful scenery view!!! Surprised experience to see deer and foxes in front of the hotel!”

“Room was lovely and clean and we had a modern bathroom. Staff were very friendly, food was excellent and service was great. Parking was easy and cheap (6 pounds I think) and the property is gorgeous. We had a room upstairs which was fantastic, our friends had one down the corridor which was different and not as nice. The only thing was the bed - it was extremely hard and impacted our ability to sleep well. If there was a topper or a different mattress I would stay again in a pinch, or just stay……

“Stayed for two nights as a stop over whilst going homeward. Wanted to have a look around the area. Room was small but adequate. Clean with en-suite shower. Ate in the dining area of the pub both nights and enjoyed the food. Informal but friendly service by all, and a nice relaxed atmosphere. Recommend a walk to the canal and then the walk to Gloucester on the tow path. It’s well paved and flat and about three miles.”

“Extremely disappointing experience. I didn’t even stay the night and had to book another nearby hotel instead. The smell was awful, from the corridors right into the room. The room itself looked nothing like the photos advertised on their website. It was extremely basic, with just a bed and not even a headboard. The bedding also looked old, worn out, and tired. Overall, the place was nothing like what I expected based on the photos and description. I would never stay here again and would not……

“1. No wifi in the room. 2. The TV doesn't work. 3. Tableware not clean in the breakfast restaurant.”

“Really good staff, staff very helpful, room nice and clean.”

“The 5-night stay was overall comfortable, although there was an issue with controlling the temperature of the hot water shower. It would occasionally become scalding during showers. It would also be wonderful if breakfast could include some fruit. Other than these minor points, it was a delightful stay. When we arrived in the late afternoon, the reception gentleman kindly helped my daughter and me carry our luggage to the room on the 2nd floor.”

“Great room, full of character. Delicious food and lovely staff”

“Amazing location. Parking was a bit of a hassle, but managed to find a spot. The pub in the hotel felt like a locals spot and was amazing to sit and watch a football match. The room was nice for the night we stayed.”

“Really good and big room”
